Listen to the sound of crackling under your snowshoes as you hike through the Arctic wilderness. This snowshoeing activity brings travellers into the landscape. Experience heart-stopping views of Norwegian fjords, valleys and mountains. During your hike through the winter landscape we'll find the best place to enjoy your home-made meal. Relax and keep a look out for reindeer, eagles, ptarmigans, hares and other wildlife. After enjoying a hot chocolate we'll bring you comfortably back to Senja Roasters Café or your accommodation in south Senja.

Inclusions: Homemade sandwich with locally sourced ingredients, biscuits & hot chocolate, tripods and photos of the tour in web-sized resolution.
Safety considerations: The tour involves hiking; the conditions may be icy, slippery, uneven, muddy, snowy or otherwise. Please assess your ability to complete this activity.

Important information:
- The trail is chosen based on the best and safest environmental conditions of the day. After booking, we will confirm the meeting location.

- Always travel with travel insurance.
- All participants need to complete the eWaiver before the tour/activity start time. Here is the link to our waiver. It's one eWaiver per participant, no matter how many Wandering Owl activities you join.
- We suggest to download WhatsAPP before travelling to Norway. We prefer to use WhatsAPP or email when communicating with our guests. Remember to keep your phone handy on the day of the tour incase we need to make last minute changes or communicate with you.
- If there is no snow, or not much snow, we'll hike instead of snowshoe.
- We never cancel simply because the forecast says it might be cloudy. We will make the decision on the route or other changes based on safety considerations.

IMPORTANT:
In order for Wandering Owl to provide you with the best possible service, including your meal choices, equipment sizes, photographs, and personal touches; we require you to complete this questionnaire as soon as possible. You will need all guest's thermal suit sizes, European shoe sizes, and sandwich choice (cheese or hummus) to be able to complete the questions. Without this information, we can not provide this service. Please complete this at least 24hrs prior to your tour departing.

Please be aware of the following before your tour with us:

- We can only see the detailed forecast 30 hrs in advance, we would only consider it to be trustworthy 12hrs in advance. It is updated about every 4 hrs and changes often.

- The environmental conditions do not reflect the other many other region microclimates

- If there is not enough snow we will go on a hike without snowshoes

- Please travel with travel insurance. The environmental conditions in the Arctic can be wild and ever changing, flights are often cancelled or delayed. To avoid financial losses and disappointment please have insurance and plan your travel wisely.

- If you are not at the pick up at the departure time, we have no choice but to depart without you. No refunds or rebooking is on offer free of charge.

Wild Lab Projects is a new part of Wandering Owl. Providing data for research groups that they are otherwise unable to collect. We do this through our citizen science projects. Making a donation to Wild Lab Projects goes a long way to ensure the longevity of our citizen science projects. Projects include tundra restoration after Northern Light tourism season, education other tour operators on regenerative behaviours that limit their footprint & protect our wilderness, kelp re-wilding, microplastic data collection & removal, ocean litter collecting, documenting & removal, Owl nest installation, & many more. Wild Lab Projects website is under construction & is due to be launched in May.
